false is the place we live
if only we knew
the real world we dwell in
holds so much more
than we dare dream
help my eyes to take in
this upside down place
the illusions it holds
turn them right side up
and cast them back as intended
let me not be only a window
taking in light
make me a mirror
that i might reflect
all the beauty i see
look upon me and shine
give me an image to bear
for this ground i tread
might as well swallow me
if i can not know
or show
